Made with pressure

The image is only half the story.

01

Draw

Ideas begin in notebooks, conversations, memory and the everyday texture of Johannesburg.

02

Cut / expose

Wood, lino, screens and plates turn the image into a physical system of marks.

03

Ink

Colour is mixed, tested and adjusted by eye. The small differences are part of the work.

04

Pull

Pressure completes the image. Each sheet is inspected, signed and numbered.
