In Ntate Pali, Lebohang Sithole presents a quiet study of labour, perseverance and everyday life. A lone figure bends into his task, holding a long agricultural tool while the surrounding landscape emerges through loose, energetic marks. The drypoint process gives the image a tactile, hand-drawn quality, with layered reds, yellows, pinks and darker tones creating movement across the surface. Generous areas of open paper balance the active linework and keep the figure at the emotional centre of the composition. The work reflects dignity, endurance and a close relationship with the land.
Produced in Drypoint. The work is presented as supplied by the artist and documented by Perspective Art.
A poetic work with intimate scale and expressive colour. Its subject and layered drypoint marks make it especially suited to collectors interested in labour, land and contemporary figurative printmaking.
