Samson Mnisi was a South African artist whose work explored abstraction, ritual, symbolic mark-making and the search for a contemporary African visual language. His practice often used colour, gesture, signs and layered markings to create works that feel energetic, spiritual and deeply intuitive. Mnisi’s art carries a sense of movement, rhythm and inner mapping, inviting viewers to experience abstraction as both visual and emotional language.
